Neo Energy Aviation uses CBTA for all training

As one of the first training organizations globally, Neo Energy Aviation has implemented Competency-based Training and Assessment (CBTA) for all courses.

The CBTA programmes were developed in cooperation with HATCO, one of the world’s leading CBTA experts, following the new instructional system design process of ICAO Document 9868. The competency frameworks implemented by Neo Energy Aviation comply with IATA industry standards and ICAO/EASA regulations.

For Pilot and Instructor training Neo Energy Aviation uses current adapted competency models and a dedicated competency model has been developed for Flight Test engineers to include those competencies especially relevant for their workplace.

Neo Energy Aviation’s instructors apply CBTA on daily basis, using various instructional methods, naturally integrated in each session of the training programme. Competency standards are transparent, for instructors and trainees, special emphasis is put on continuous formative assessment to support the trainees in their competency development.

Training effectiveness and training system performance is monitored and evaluated using CBTA inner-loop and outer-loop feedback data.
