Maintenance Check Flight

This course prepares operators of complex aircraft to perform Functional Check Flights such as Level A maintenance check flights, End-of-Lease Flights or trouble shooting flights as detailed in EASA Part-SPO. The course features theoretical and practical flight instruction on FSTDs and may be supplemented with on-aircraft training on multiple aircraft types.

  • EASA Part-SPO.SPEC.MCF.120

  • 1 week

  • Minimum 35 hours classroom and minimum 2 hours FSTD plus optional flight hours.

  • Depending on student choice A320, B737 or B777 FSTD. The course may be supplemented with on-aircraft training using one of Neo Energy Aviation’s aircraft.

  • This course is aimed at CAT pilots wishing to perform Level A Maintenance Check Flights.

  • Valid ATPL(A) issued in accordance with EASA Part-FCL,

    Current Class 1 medical,

    Valid Type Rating,

    At least 1000 flight hours on an aircraft of the same category as that for which the Type Rating is issued,

    At least 400 hours as pilot-in-command in a complex motor-powered aircraft.
